Job Summary

We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Summer Interns to support our Legal Regulatory Government Relations (GR) Sustainability and Privacy teams.

This internship offers hands-on experience in a multijurisdictional legal environment. You will not only support general corporate legal projects but will also contribute to strategic initiatives in Government Relations and Privacy. We are looking for candidates who can act as objective users and critics helping us transform complexity into simplicity.

The interns will contribute to various initiatives including research reporting regulatory consultations and compliance. Responsibilities include:

Legal & Regulatory

  • Review analyze and summarize contracts NDAs and other legal documents.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memos on various corporate and commercial law topics.

  • Draft regulatory submissions and assist with hearing preparation similar to previous cohorts who helped build CRTC court hearings through data collection and documentation.

  • Revise and optimize contracts and legal documents to increase protection and minimize risks.

Government Relations (GR) & Sustainability

  • Provide support to the Government Relations team on an ad hoc basis for specific projects.

  • Conduct legislative mapping in the US and Canada to support strategic planning (as requested).

  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives and reporting requirements.

Privacy

  • Provide ad hoc support on privacy issues and compliance projects.

  • Assist in streamlining privacy review processes for applications and products to ensure legal compliance and user trust.

  • Help identify and mitigate privacy risks potentially involving the update of product descriptions or internal questionnaires.

Qualifications

  • Education: Current enrollment in an accredited Canadian law school (Diploma Undergraduate or Graduate degree).

  • Availability: Must be available for the full internship duration (May 25 August 28 2026).

  • Skills:

  • Strong research writing and analytical skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

  • Excellent communication (English) and interpersonal skills.


Assets:

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong plus.

  • Knowledge of both common and civil law systems.

  • Interest in corporate in-house legal practice government relations or privacy law.

  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
