Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking a senior-level WebMethods Integration Developer to support a large IT portfolio of enterprise capital initiatives. This role is responsible for designing developing and securing APIs and enterprise integrations that connect mission-critical systems across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in the webMethods platform excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams business stakeholders and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
API Development
Design and develop RESTful and SOAP web service APIs.
Integrate enterprise platforms such as GIS ERP asset management project controls and document management systems.
Support secure data exchange using standardized formats (JSON XML).
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0 JWT SAML etc.).
Produce comprehensive API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger preferred).
Maintain API version control backward compatibility and structured deprecation strategies.
Integrations & Interoperability
Analyze enterprise systems to determine optimal integration points.
Develop middleware and connectors to integrate legacy cloud and third-party platforms.
Design event-driven architectures supporting asynchronous processing and webhooks.
Implement structured error handling transactional integrity monitoring and logging.
Security & Compliance
Ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity policies and industry standards (e.g. NIST CIS Controls).
Implement encryption in transit and at rest.
Utilize secure API gateways and perform vulnerability assessments.
Maintain audit trails and detailed transaction logging.
Scalability & Performance
Architect highly available and horizontally scalable solutions.
Define and monitor performance benchmarks (TPS latency thresholds).
Design systems resilient to failure and optimized for mission-critical workloads.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop and execute unit integration system and UAT test plans.
Support automated regression testing.
Ensure maintainability and long-term reliability of integration solutions.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
Provide comprehensive technical documentation.
Support knowledge transfer sessions.
Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to align integration strategy with enterprise goals.
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional experience with the webMethods Integration Platform
Minimum 2 years of experience with (Cloud Integration / IC SaaS)
Proven experience developing SAP RFC integrations
Strong experience developing custom Java integration services
Senior-level expertise with:
Preferred Qualifications
Integration-related certifications (e.g. Software AG Certified webMethods Developer MuleSoft AWS Certified Developer Azure Integration PMP etc.)
Experience supporting public sector utilities or energy industry initiatives
Strong knowledge of secure software development and identity & access management best practices
Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance standards and secure API architecture
