We are seeking a highly skilled
Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Scientist to join the Yurkovich Lab. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dynamical systems analysis and a passion for applying engineering principles to complex biological problems. This role requires a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application with a focus on developing innovative solutions to challenging problems. You will be instrumental in the design and analysis of data from real-world human studies that seek to understand the temporal dynamics of the human phenome. You will play a key role in the development of software tools and pipelines with the opportunity to contribute to the publication of scientific articles.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and implement advanced computational models to analyze complex biological systems.
- Apply dynamical systems theory to understand system behavior predict outcomes and identify critical control parameters.
- Collaborate with biologists and other domain experts to translate biological questions into quantitative mathematical models.
- Design develop and test software applications using object-oriented programming languages and software engineering best practices.
- Leverage machine learning and AI techniques to extract insights from large biological datasets.
- Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and computational tools for data analysis and modeling.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in systems biology computational modeling and machine learning.
QUALIFICATIONS- PhD in Bioengineering Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Strong foundation in dynamical systems theory and analysis
- Experience in object-oriented programming and software engineering
- Proficiency in machine learning and AI techniques
- Familiarity with biological data and systems
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS- $110000 to $125000 depending on skills and experience
- Comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision PTO and paid parental leave 401(k) with 5% employer match and student debt repayment option.
- This is an 18-month position with potential to extend based on candidate and project team performance.
