The Lead Electrical Design Engineer for RF Coils MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) understands the function and design of RF circuits RF electronics antennas and their application in the design of phased array receive coils as well as well-versed in RF coil integration & testing. The MRI Coils Lead Design Engineer will also interact with suppliers and customers trouble-shoot coils and fix customer complaints to maintain installed base MRI coils.

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
RF phased-array coil design modification integration testing and verification
Medical Device Lifecycle management and knowledge of design changes ECR/ECO
Interacting with suppliers and customers and cross functional teams
Troubleshooting of coils fixing customer complaints. Specifically solve complex and ambiguous problems. Perform troubleshooting (at bench level and system level) encompassing multiple variables to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution. Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests as required to draw conclusions and solutions.
Lead investigation into field issues on coils through troubleshooting and root cause investigation for problem resolution.
Setting up coil testing test-bench and conduct coil testing
Conduct Verification & Validation activities on an MRI system including relevant documentation
Knowledge of Electrical Safety and Regulatory standards for medical equipments like IEC 60601-1
Collaborate work with Global and Local Cross functional team - Manufacturing Sourcing SQE Suppliers Supply chain for developing / manufacturing coils end to end (Complete product development life cycle)
Develop SOPs for manufacturing of coils at manufacturing line
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering Biomedical Engineering Physics or equivalent technical degree
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging fundamentals RF coil design resonant circuit design and electromagnetics
Understands the function and design of RF circuits RF electronics antennas and their application in the design of MRI phased array coils
Demonstrated experience in electrical design or circuit board design
Working MRI systems engineering knowledge
Desired Characteristics
Experience with MRI system operation
Hands on hardware experience on electrical circuits and components
Ability to work with cross-functional multidisciplinary teams
Leadership teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
