Machine Learning Engineer Intern Smart Manufacturing & AI (Micron Technology)

Join Micron Technologys Smart Manufacturing and AI team as a Machine Learning Engineer this role youll apply AI/ML to real-world manufacturing problems explore data deploy models and learn how ML systems operate at scale. Youll gain hands-on experience alongside ML engineers data scientists and data engineers contributing to impactful solutions for global manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows for machine learning model development.
Develop and optimize data structures and datasets in cloud platforms (e.g. Snowflake Google Cloud).
Write clean maintainable code for scalable MLOps implementation and internal tools.
Support CI/CD workflows for model testing and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore data-driven solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in Computer Science Data Science Statistics Engineering or a related technical field.
Basic understanding of ML concepts and algorithms.
Experience with Python and ML libraries (TensorFlow PyTorch scikit-learn).
Knowledge of data structures scripting and software development fundamentals.
Familiarity with SQL or cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) is a plus.
Strong analytical skills curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework or projects in machine learning data engineering or cloud computing.
Experience with Docker Git and CI/CD workflows (school or personal projects).
Exposure to big data concepts data preprocessing or ETL processes.
Interest in computer vision signal processing or statistics.
Strong communication skills and proactive learning mindset.
