The Strategic Partnerships Intern position is a part of our Roblox 12-week summer internship program located in San Mateo CA. As a Strategic Partnerships intern you will work alongside the Ads & Brands team to drive culturally relevant IP to Roblox for engagement and monetization. The intern will work across our IP/Brand Integrations to ensure our goals and maximize platform opportunities: tracking relevant IP on platform project managing integrations across IP and developers and helping with pitches to IP and devs.
You Will:
- Monitor track and analyze cultural movements both across Roblox and on multiple off-platform channels such as social media news entertainment fashion technology and consumer behavior.
- Use both qualitative and quantitative data to assess the impact of emerging trends understanding their relevance to the target audience of brand partners.
- Build reports for how culture (e.g. Gen Z trends/interests) provides measurable value to the company.
- Produce engaging content (newsletters presentations or infographics) to share your findings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with the brand partnerships marketing and communications teams to ensure trends are incorporated into business strategies and campaigns.
You Have:
- Required: Pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in communications business marketing sociology or a related field. Internship eligibility is dependent on students returning to school for at least one semester after the internship.
- Strong cultural literacy and expertise in Gen Z affinities across multiple verticals (music fashion entertainment tech gaming etc.).
- A solid understanding of both traditional and digital media landscapes including gaming and immersive platforms. Roblox-specific expertise is a plus.
- Proficiency in parsing consumer data and extracting actionable insights. SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience applying creativity and passion for understanding culture in a professional or academic context.
- Excellent research analytical and communication skills both written and verbal.
