In this role youll work sidebyside with experienced RNs and LPNs in a supportive teamfocused environment. Youll learn valuable skills provide hands-on care and grow your confidence while helping children and families during some of their most important moments.

What Youll Do
Under the direction of an RN or LPN you will:
- Assist with individualized patient care to help each child achieve their highest level of wellness
- Perform designated clinical procedures and essential non-clinical support tasks
- Collaborate as part of a strong compassionate care team
- Contribute to a positive safe and supportive environment for patients and families
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma GED CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a high schoolbased healthcare career program
- Nursing students are highly encouraged to apply
- Current Mercy co-workers are also eligible
Experience
No experience required!
- If youre new to healthcare Mercy provides a 175-hour state-approved training program as part of your orientation (must be completed within 90 days of hire).
Certifications
- BLS required within one month of hire
- Completion of PCA competencies within 3 months
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- Ability to lift push or pull 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat to meet patient needs
