Job Summary
Job Title: Mental Therapy Aide
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Duration: 14 Weeks
Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour
Schedule:
11:00 AM 7:30 PM
3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Every other weekend required
Some holidays required
Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is hiring experienced Mental Therapy Aideto work in a Pediatric Bio Behavioral Health Unit within an acute care setting. Candidates must have prior psychiatric experience. Pediatric and inpatient experience are preferred.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect patient care
Monitor and record vital signs
Complete admission documentation
Assist with exams and procedures
Collect specimens and track intake/output
Transport patients within the facility
Support patients with hygiene and daily living activities (ADLs)
Maintain a safe and structured environment
Conduct safety checks during shifts
Intervene during crisis situations
Document and report patient progress
Use EMR systems for documentation
Requirements:
Current CPR Certification (Required)
Minimum 1 year experience (2 years preferred)
Psychiatric experience required
Pediatric experience preferred
Inpatient experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
