DescriptionRacquet Sports Instructor (Tennis / Pickleball / Table Tennis)
Associated Recreation Council (ARC) in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking qualified Racquet Sports Instructors to teach Tennis Pickleball and Table Tennis programs across multiple community sites.
Council / Locations: Multiple sites
Status: Part-time Seasonal and Year-Round opportunities available
Work Schedule: Varies by site and program
Desired Start Date: March 23 2026
Position Summary
ARC is hiring instructors to teach Tennis Pickleball and Table Tennis. Candidates who can teach all three disciplines are strongly preferred; however applicants who can teach two of the three are also encouraged to apply.
Programs may be offered at multiple sites and schedules will vary based on location and seasonal programming.
Program Areas
Instructors may be assigned to one or more program areas depending on qualifications and availability.
Racquet Sports InstructorResponsibilities
Plan and lead safe age-appropriate racquet sports instruction
Teach fundamental skills rules and game play for assigned sport(s)
Create a positive inclusive and supportive learning environment
Set up and clean up equipment and activity areas
Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures
Racquet Sports InstructorQualifications
Experience teaching or coaching tennis pickleball and/or table tennis
Ability to instruct participants in a clear safe and engaging manner
Experience working with youth and/or adult participants in a recreational or instructional setting
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to pass a criminal background check
