Schedule: Full-Time 36 hours/week
Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

About the Unit Neurology (8E)
Neurology 8E cares for patients experiencing acute and chronic neurological conditions such as strokes seizures brain tumors and brain bleeds. Team members gain valuable experience supporting complex neuro assessments safety-focused care and close interdisciplinary collaboration with therapy and neurology teams.
Overview
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) . Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Comparable education experience and successful licensure may be considered
Experience:
- New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
- LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Significant bending stooping and patient lifting/turning with assistance
- Ability to push pull and grip up to 50 lbs
