Job Summary:The Accounting Assistant II maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support. Assists University staff in understanding industry standards current laws and university policy as it relates to the financial affairs of the University. Provides guidance and trains entry-level Accounting Assistants.
Additional Department Summary:Processes sponsored program grants departmentally funded grants and fellowship expense/reimbursements in Banner Accounts Receivable and Banner Finance Systems. Performs customer service responsibilities related to that function. Updates student accounts for various types of transactions and performs other customer-service related duties. Processes and manages the central data storage and retrieval for Student Account Services.
Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR associates degree or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:Two (2) years of accounts receivable experience.
