Overview:
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Oncology and Imaging Services the Imaging Services Director is responsible for managing and directing all areas of Imaging Services as shown on the Imaging organizational chart. Responsibilities include the administration and management of all Imaging service areas to include but are not limited to: The provision of leadership supervision and evaluation of all staff. To provide general planning management and development of all Imaging related services. This person is responsible for the coordination of these service areas along with other sections of the Health System to meet the needs of patients staff and hospital for inpatient and outpatient imaging services across the health campus.
The responsibilities extend into the Physicians and Clinics to include collaboration with the Radiologists to resolve problems and plan improvements to the service/department. This position is also responsible for many system initiatives which require oversight into the Rural Hospitals and clinics as well as collaboration with the School of Radiology. This person participates on committees as necessary to assure that areas of specialty are properly addressed. These may include but are not limited to the following: Radiation Safety Committee Radiology Section Committee and Specialty Councils.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Preferred Education: Graduate degree preferred with Emphasis on health or business administration.
Licensure: Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in the state of practice.
Experience: Five Years management experience working in a large healthcare organization.
