TheHead of Software Engineeringis responsibleforleadingthe global software engineering organization to deliver innovative compliant and scalable solutions that accelerate scientific discovery and transform patient outcomes worldwide.Drivetechnology strategy and execution across multiple geographies ensuring seamless integration of advanced platforms that enable data-driven insights and competitive advantage for the business.
This positionreports to theVice President of R&Dandis part of theBeckman Life Sciences Research and Development departmentworkingremotelyto covermultiple regions.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Define and execute the global software engineering strategy aligned with corporateobjectivesand R&D priorities
Drive adoption of modern architectures cloud platforms AI/ML and emerging technologies to accelerate life sciences solutions
Build lead and mentor a diverse high-performing engineering organization across multiple geographies
Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle ensuring quality scalability security and compliance with industry standards
Partner with R&D product management data science and regulatory teams to deliver integrated solutions
Governance & Compliance -Establishrobust processes for cybersecurity data privacy and regulatory compliance in all software products
Budget & Resource Optimization - Manage global engineering budgets vendor relationships and resource allocation to maximize ROI
The essential requirements of the jobinclude:
Bachelors degree in Computer Engineeringand20years experiencein software engineering; orMasters/Doctoraldegree with at least6years in a global leadership role
Strong understanding of life sciences healthcare or regulated industries
Expertisein modern software architectures (microservices cloud-native) DevOps and data platforms
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FDA HIPAA GDPRGxP)
Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures
Ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders
Trackrecord ofdriving digital transformation and fostering innovation at scale
Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally
It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:
Instrument Firmware/Software design and development
Cloud design and development
Systems engineering and architectureexpertise

Theannualsalary rangefor this role is $200000 - $260000.This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range ofpossible compensationfor this role at the time of this posting. This range may bemodifiedin the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offercomprehensivepackage of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
