Job Title: SAIOP Therapist
Location: Wilmington NC (New Hanover)
Schedule: Full-Time MondayFriday
3 days: 12:00/12:30 PM 9:00 PM
2 days: Flexible (day shift: 8-5pm or mid-shift)

Position Summary
The SAIOP Therapist provides diagnostic assessment counseling and case management for adults with substance use mental health and co-occurring disorders. This role facilitates Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) groups three evenings per week and supports clients in achieving recovery and stability.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based approaches (MI CBT supportive and family modalities)
Facilitate SAIOP group sessions (6:00 PM 9:00 PM three evenings weekly) focused on relapse prevention emotional regulation life skills and recovery support
Provide case management and coordinate community resources and services
Monitor client progress reassess needs and support crisis intervention as needed
Collaborate with community partners and utilize ASAM criteria to ensure appropriate levels of care
Qualifications
Masters degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology or a related field
LCAS (required) and/or one of the following: LCSW LCSW-A LCMHC-A LCMHC LPA
Experience working with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred
