About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Clinical Auditor to support the hospitals clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with healthcare standards improving patient care outcomes and strengthening clinical quality through structured audit processes.
This position is open to Senior Nurses or MBBS-qualified Medical Officers with experience in clinical auditing within a reputed healthcare institution.
Requirements
- Qualification:
- BSc Nursing with Senior Nurse experience or
- MBBS qualification with clinical experience
- Minimum 25 years of experience in clinical audit quality assurance or hospital quality management.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare quality standards such as NABH JCI or similar.
- Experience in managing clinical audit cycles.
- Professional certifications such as CPHQ GCP or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical documentation and reporting skills.
- Good communication and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Audit & Quality Improvement
- Plan conduct and manage clinical audits across departments based on approved audit schedules.
- Implement and monitor the full clinical audit cycle (audit planning data collection analysis feedback and re-audit).
- Identify gaps in clinical practices and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor implementation of action plans and track quality improvement outcomes.
Compliance & Accreditation
- Ensure adherence to national and international healthcare quality standards such as NABH JCI or equivalent.
- Support accreditation preparation documentation and compliance activities.
- Conduct internal audits to assess readiness for accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect analyze and interpret clinical data to identify trends risks and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to clinical and management teams.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit records as per quality management requirements.
Training & Coordination
- Work closely with clinical teams to promote quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and awareness to staff on clinical audit processes and quality standards.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely completion of audit activities.
Salary Range:
- Senior Nurse: Around LKR 150000 (based on qualifications & experience Nursing Scale)
- MBBS Doctor: LKR(based on qualifications & experience Medical Officer Scale)
