Who is your future team

We are a dedicated team developing the web client for AXIS Camera Station available in two flavors to cater to the needs of accessing our video management system through the internet or within a private network. Our client is used by operators who consume and utilize surveillance information with a foundation in video and analytic data. As our feature set continues to grow we face exciting challenges and opportunities to evolve our product.

As a team we take end-to-end responsibility for our software services from development and testing to deployment and maintenance. We believe in close collaboration and learning from each other employing methods like ensemble and pair programming to foster a supportive and innovative work environment.

Your role

Our development teams form the core of our business and as a developer you play a crucial role in delivering value to our customers. We are currently seeking for a developer to a team that is focused on frontend development based on web technology. The team works broadly and has overall responsibility for understanding customer needs developing solutions and operating them.

Our greatest asset is that we excel at collaboration and we seek colleagues who are team players and enjoy learning new things. We believe in the power that arises when working together in a team which is why we often program in pairs or groups known as ensemble programming for better quality and continuous learning. As a junior developer you will have a unique opportunity to learn from more experienced colleagues. At the same time we expect you to contribute your own ideas and initiatives from day one.

Quality always comes first at Axis so we build it into our development process as early as possible and work to quickly identify any bugs if possible using automated testing. Were committed to staying at the forefront of new working methods and technologies. Youll have the chance to work with modern tools and platforms like React TypeScript AI-assisted development and cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.

Who Are You

We believe you have a Masters or Bachelors degree in engineering including programming and networking or have acquired these skills through other means.

As a person you are open-minded curious and have a strong technical interest. You are responsible initiative-driven and easily prioritize tasks. We place great emphasis on self-motivation and hope that you and your team will inspire and motivate each other.
