The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data transfers images from disk to PACS.Position Details:

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20000 for a lifetime maximum.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.
- Licensure/Certifications: Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility). BLS Basic Life Support
- Other Skills & Knowledge:IV Insertion. Technical skill in medical scanning understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and 3-D knowledge. Working Conditions Mental and Physical Requirements: Manipulating equipment lifting moving and transporting patients.Continual standing or walking. Adapt to stressful situations.
- Preferred Experience: at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preferred Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT1 Advanced registry (MRI)
