Job Description

In this role you will build lasting client relationships and support their success as part of a collaborative organised team focused on delivering excellent customer experiences.

Since 1978 Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) has been dedicated to developing supporting and expanding the field of pharmacovigilance science and practice.

As a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre we support work around the world to examine the potential adverse effects of medicines and vaccines and contribute to safer more informed care of patients.

We are a diverse international group of pharmacists physicians data scientists system developers communicators and many other professionals motivated by a deep belief that the work we do matters.

About the role
The External Engagement department at UMC provides solutions and standardisation for the secure exchange and global use of pharmacovigilance data. Additionally we manage the customer journey from creating attention to maintaining high customer retention.

After several years of strong growth our section is now working on developing a scalable enrolment process for new customers introducing programs to reduce customer loss and planning a lasting strategy for customer relationship management. As a Customer Liaison Specialist you will play a key role in supporting customers throughout their customer journey: Ensuring smooth customer onboarding supporting contract management and fostering strong long-lasting relationships with our global customer base. You will also work closely with other teams in customer engagement offering your expertise in agreements and licences to ensure our business structures meet customer needs and legal requirements.

What you will do

  • Customer onboarding & enrolment: Partner with the Customer Engagement section to guide new customers through the enrolment process ensuring they are properly introduced to our products and receive a positive start to their journey with us.
  • System setup & maintenance: Manage new customer setups in internal systems ensuring efficient and accurate administration of enrolment and licensing tasks.
  • Annual review: Assess customers financial criteria and business changes following up on updates to their needs and status.
  • Customer Relationship Management & licence expertise: Oversee administration and maintenance of internal systems related to customer management and licences ensuring business structures and licences align with customer needs.
  • Customer-centric process development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine customer journeys ensuring streamlined customer-focused processes.
  • Contract life cycle management: Apply and tailor agreements to customer needs gather feedback and update contracts to align with evolving business models.
