As a Data-Focused Solution Architect you will play a pivotal role in shaping the evolution of applications and data warehouses. You will ensure that solutions are consistent with data challenges and architecture principles supporting their implementation and aligning with ENGIEs governance and strategicobjectives.

You will be at the forefront of shaping our digital landscape working with key stakeholders to specify and design data applications and technology solutions that add and protect value for the organisation. Within the IT Department you will contribute to the design of the Information System architecturemaintaininga transversal vision of data flows to help coordinate and manage the implementation of specific applications solutions as part of project delivery and operationalsupport.

What you will do

• Design and implement cutting-edge data platforms including data lakes warehouses and lakehouses
• Lead the development of ETL/ELT pipelines for both real-time and batch data flows
• Establish robust data quality lineage and compliance frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data pipelines and system performance
• Advise senior stakeholders on technical strategies that deliver tangible business value

Experience

As a data-focused Solution Architect you will have deep technicalexpertisein data architecture and cloud platforms with strong governance compliance awareness and the ability to translate complex technical strategies into business outcomes. Leadership in design delivery and stakeholder engagement is critical.

Essential

• 810 yearsin IT or data architecture roles with at least45 yearsin solution/data architecturedesign.
• Proventrack recordin large-scale transformation programmes and multi-cloud environments
• Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. energy financial services public sector) is highly valued.
• Familiarity with B2B processes and enterprise systems (ERP CRM) is a plus.
• ITIL experience
• Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence decisions at executive level and mentor technical teams

• Azure Databricks Unified analytics and machine learning platform.

• Microsoft Fabric Integrated data and AI platform for modern analytics.

• Streaming & Real-Time

• Azure Event Hubs Real-time data ingestion.

• Azure Stream Analytics Real-time analytics engine.

• Governance & Compliance

• Microsoft Purview Data governancecataloguing and compliance.

• Database Services

• Azure SQL Database Cosmos DB Relational and NoSQL options.

Qualifications:

• Educated toaminimumofdegree level
• TOGAF Foundation
• Software lifecycleProjectmanagementand ITIL qualifications preferred.

Job Based In

Hybrid working arrangement based from Leeds with flexibility to balance on-site collaboration and remote work
