Role Summary

We are seeking a highly hands-on EDI Mapping Specialist to support a high-priority modernization and migration initiative. This role is focused on accelerating trading partner onboarding stabilizing EDI connectivity and strengthening translation workflows.

The ideal candidate is a true execution-focused mapper with deep experience building maintaining and troubleshooting EDI maps. This is not a middleware-only or high-level integration role - candidates must have strong direct experience with X12 mapping in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Build maintain and troubleshoot EDI maps and translation logic across standard X12 transaction sets in high-volume production environments.
Support platform transition efforts involving legacy EDI tooling and translation engines including environments leveraging IBM Sterling and Trusted Link (ITXA experience strongly preferred).
Drive and optimize trading partner onboarding (customers suppliers financial partners) with a strong focus on speed repeatability and quality.
Develop reusable mapping templates validation rules exception-handling frameworks and structured testing playbooks to reduce onboarding cycle time and minimize rework.
Collaborate with onshore leads cross-functional teams and external partner IT groups to quickly diagnose and resolve EDI issues.
Contribute to automation-driven initiatives including standardized intake processes reusable workflows and self-service enablement concepts to improve operational efficiency and reduce long-term support overhead.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have Skills)

Strong hands-on EDI mapping experience with core X12 supply chain transactions.
Must have directly built and supported mappings in production for:
- 850 Purchase Order
- 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgement
- 856 Advance Ship Notice (ASN)
- 810 Invoice
Proven ability to troubleshoot mapping failures by analyzing transaction content and map logic (not limited to middleware/connectivity troubleshooting).
Industry experience in environments where these transactions are core to operations such as:
- Logistics
- Healthcare supply chain
- Distribution
- Retail ecosystems
  (Experience must reflect real trading partner onboarding and ongoing production support.)
Experience with enterprise EDI ecosystems such as:
- IBM Sterling Integrator
- Trusted Link
- ITXA (strongly preferred)
Strong communication discipline with proactive status updates clear issue explanations and responsiveness during business hours.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have Skills)

Experience in healthcare supply chain distributor networks hospital systems or complex B2B trading ecosystems (e.g. large enterprise trading networks).
Experience designing or implementing onboarding automation including:
- Mapping templates
- Repeatable workflows
- Improved validation/testing frameworks
Experience supporting large trading partner populations with long-lived enterprise-scale maps.
