The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care in both the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology Lab. The role involves assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations special procedures and patient monitoring. The RN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role involves assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations special procedures and patient monitoring. Location:Rochester New York United States
Responsibilities:
- Assist with interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Assist with special procedures in the Interventional Radiology Lab.
- Perform diagnostic catheterizations.
- Assist with cardiac stent placements.
- Monitor and manage patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist with IABP placement and removal.
- Assist with Impella insertion.
- Assist with interventional catheterizations.
- Assist with left and right heart catheterizations.
- Assist with pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal.
- Assist with percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).
- Monitor pulmonary artery lines/Swan-Ganz catheters.
- Assist with angioplasty procedures.
- Assist with gastrostomy tube placements.
- Assist with liver biopsies.
- Assist with paracentesis procedures.
- Assist with percutaneous hepatic angiography.
- Assist with embolization procedures.
- Assist with nephrostomy procedures.
- Assist with renal angiography and renal artery stent placements.
- Assist with uterine arterial embolization.
- Assist with chest tube placements.
- Assist with lung biopsies.
- Assist with pulmonary angiography and pulmonary embolization procedures.
- Assist with central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC) placements.
- Assist with central venous access/port placements.
- Assist with dialysis graft creation/revision and interventions.
- Assist with endovascular interventions and stent graft placements.
- Assist with SVC/IVC venography.
- Assist with upper and lower extremity angiography.
- Administer and monitor antiarrhythmics antihypertensives and emergency medications.
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation.
- Provide care and maintenance for implanted ports.
- Manage IV infusion pumps.
- Perform 12-lead EKGs.
- Circulate procedures.
- Implement infection prevention measures.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Adhere to isolation precautions.
- Monitor patients requiring cardiac catheterization either diagnostic or interventional.
- Monitor IR lab patients requiring drains tubes kyphoplasty biopsy etc.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
