Job Title: CONTROLS ENGINEER PLC

Location of role: St. Louis Mo. Full time Direct Hire

Salary: Market Rate for this role Depending on experience DOE

We are seeking a Controls Engineer with hands-on PLC experience in industrial automation environments.

The primary platform in use is Allen Bradley but strong PLC experience on other major platforms is acceptable if the candidate demonstrates solid ladder logic fundamentals and adaptability.

This role requires the ability to design control systems from scratch and also take partially completed systems to full production readiness. The engineer must be comfortable supporting commissioning onsite and troubleshooting live equipment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic

Design control systems from concept through implementation

Support commissioning and startup in the field

Integrate PLC systems with higher-level systems using TCP/IP

Understand basic network fundamentals as applied to controls

Participate in Functional Specification (FSD) development and execution

Use the FSD as a scope boundary and identify change order triggers early

Coordinate with panel design procurement and project management

Complete assigned scopes independently over time

Technical Requirements:

Demonstrated PLC programming experience

Strong ladder logic capability

Experience in industrial automation environments

Exposure to material handling systems preferred

Familiarity with TCP/IP communication in controls

Commissioning and field startup experience
