Supply & Energy Management (S&EM) is one of ENGIEs Global Business Units. We deliver services in supply and logistics management asset management risk management market access management while contributing to the market understanding design and efficiency and developing market solutions to accelerate the energy transition.
S&EM manages one of the largest and most diversified energy portfolios in Europe including electricity natural gas bulk commodities and environmental products.
With 8 trading platforms and activities in more than 50 countries S&EM has an extended geographical coverage in Europe Asia-Pacific and in the US.
Within the S&EM Business Unit the Business Platform APAC is managing and developing the groups trading activities for the APAC region.
YOUR ROLE
You will collaborate to the fulfillment of the missions of the department and may be involved in projects spanning multiple groups across commercial functions and staff.
- Managing the trade settlement flows in a timely manner
- Monitoring both cleared and client collateral margining daily
- Handling of energy certificate deliveries and redemptions
- Minimising operational risk by establishing operations workflow and best practices
- Aligning FINOPS business applications according to changing business requirements
- Bilateral Financial (OTC) & FX Transactions
- Price and generate cashflow settlement for client invoicing
- Monitor spot FX settlement positions with Treasury
- Cleared (Listed) Transactions
- Validate exchange IM/VM figures and process margin calls
- Check commissions against clearer/exchange rate schedules
- Client (CSA) Collateral Management
- Issue margin call notifications and manage dispute resolutions
- Process documentation for LC/Bank Guarantee Issuance
- Physical LNG Transactions
- Price and generate cargo/fee invoicing settlement
- Manage funding of freight/port charges
- Renewable Energy Certificates
- Execute registry delivery and redemptions on behalf of clients
- Reconcile inventory against registry records
- Maintain and validate external referential and pricing data (calendars/fixings) in systems
- Update standard operating procedures for business continuity
- Work with Front Office & Support Functions for problem solving and new business initiatives
- Develop end-user tools to streamline and facilitate process within the FINOPS team
- Provide support for any FINOPS related projects.
YOUR PROFILE
- Graduate degree with a specialisation in Business/Finance or related discipline
- 1-3 years working experience trading firms or financial institutions dealing with commodities
- Familiar with energy derivatives and/or power trading & optimisation
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise while working in a fast-paced environment
Technical skills
- Operational workflow experience including margining pricing and settlement
- Proficient in MS office (Excel Word Outlook etc.)
- Adept at using business applications and information systems
