The Amazon Hardlines Private Label (HPB) Quality team is looking for a talented product compliance professional to join our team. The successful candidate is able to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to resolve challenges. He or she can also demonstrate good judgment and intuition in decision-making and the ability to proactively and continuously improve his or her knowledge of Amazons business platform and related technologies.
This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the success of building product compliance testing processes and systems to ensure that HPB products exported to global markets comply with relevant safety and regulatory attributes. The Product Compliance Manager should also have direct experience with US/EU/JP and global consumer product regulations to work cross-functionally with Quality Managers Sourcing Managers Product Managers and other supply chain professionals in our rapidly growing and evolving business.
Key job responsibilities
Ensure HPB products meet US/EU/JP and global regulatory requirements and support other functions such as quality sourcing product and supply chain
Ensure vendors are cooperating in accordance with Amazons private label product safety and compliance testing protocols and testing policies
Liaise with third-party testing agencies on product testing failure disposition and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
Manage large and complex product compliance projects
Provide full product compliance visibility to internal stakeholders
Develop best-in-class product compliance processes and systems and drive continuous improvement.
Drive scalable business solutions to ensure product compliance with consumer product regulations
- Experience in English-language communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience in data analysis and reporting
- Experience working with technical and business stakeholders from global cross-functional teams
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD degree in engineering chemistry physics or materials science
- 5 years of experience in any combination of product compliance product quality product development and/or third-party lab testing
- Ability to work with partners to develop product testing compliance protocols
- Experience writing technical documents project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholders
