Development Specialist

We are currently hiring a Development Specialist to join the Catalpa Foundation team. We are looking for compassionate mission-driven professional to join our team.

The Development Specialist will be working with the Catalpa Foundation. The Catalpa Foundationwas established to ensure that every child in ourcommunity has access to the mental health care they need to thrive. We raise thenecessary funds to empower Catalpa Health to provide life-changing mental health services to children and families in the Greater Fox Valley Region.

Position Description:

• Track research and submit grant proposals and reports to foundations corporations and government entities.
• Respond to donor inquiries with accurate and timely information; secure donor gifts and provide donors with relevant materials.
• Oversee and manage the fundraising database and tracking system.
• Develop donor communications including but not limited to newsletters and donor acknowledgment letters.
• Organize and coordinate the activities of volunteers and committees/boards engaged in fundraising activities as appropriate.
• Support project management for fundraising events.

• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
• Thorough understanding of applicable ethical codes and standards.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in non-profit management or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with grant writing.
• Experience with donor database management Raisers Edge software.
