Main Purpose of Job
This is a full performance level position with the main purpose to provide supervision to occupational therapists and assistants in addition to occupational therapy assessment and treatment recommendations to referred patients within the hospital with major responsibility to Red Brick Cottages 1234 and Noyes. Assessment/treatment areas include cognitive psychosocialfunctioning sensory modulation coping strategies self-management and survival skills forindependent living task development and pre-vocational skills. Services offered includeassessment development and implementation of treatment plans and appropriate revision oftreatment. This position works at the full performance level of occupational therapy as provided by a licensed O.T. professional and performs these licensed duties under the general supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. This position does possess supervisory duties. This position is emergency essential and is required to have and maintain a valid Maryland Drivers License and be able to drive a state vehicle in accordance with the State of Maryland Policies and Procedures for drivers of State Vehicles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Determined bythe Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice under the licensingrequirements for Occupational Therapists.
Experience: Four years of experienceas an Occupational Therapist.

1. Candidates may substitute aMasters degree from an accredited college or university in OccupationalTherapy for two years of the required experience.
may substitute Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Therapyclassifications or Therapy specialty codes in the Occupation Therapy field ofwork on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess the following:
- Experience leading Occupational Therapists.
- Experience working with mentally ill patients.
LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for positions in thisclassification must possess a current license as an Occupational Therapist fromthe Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice Spring GroveHospital Center 55 Wade Avenue Baltimore MD 21228.
2. Employees in this classificationmay be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification ofcardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
3. Employees in this classificationmay be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicleoperators license valid in the State of Maryland.
