Job Summary
HiFyve is hiring a Field Service Technician in the Heavy Equipment industry in Columbus OH!
Salary: $29$37/hour - Company Truck
Shift: Full-Time MondayFriday (hours may vary)
Location: Columbus OH
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect diagnose troubleshoot and repair mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment in shop and field environments
- Perform independent field service repairs without direct supervision
- Repair and replace components including engines hydraulic systems air conditioning suspension braking steering drive-train and electrical systems
- Perform welding brazing fabrication and modification of parts and equipment as required
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics blueprints and technical manuals
- Source order and install replacement parts as needed to complete repairs
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations quality standards and DOT requirements
- Communicate repair causes and corrective actions to supervisors and customers
- Travel and work remotely including overnight stays as required
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Technical or vocational school training (preferred)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of complex hydraulic electrical pneumatic and drive-train systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic electrical drive-train and air conditioning systems
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Ability to use electrical and hydraulic testing equipment
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Medical Certification
