Job Summary

Principal Dover-Sherborn Regional Middle School The Public Schools of Dover and Sherborn seek an innovative instructional leader committed to academic excellence educational equity and the social-emotional wellness of students and staff. Responsibilities Serves as the instructional leader and drives teaching and learning aligned with best practice. Promotes a culturally responsive learning environment for all members of the school community. Develops and implements a School Improvement Plan in support of district goals. Designs and implements programs to meet a range of student needs and interests. Establishes a system of tiered interventions to meet the needs of all students. Plans and facilitates professional development opportunities for faculty and staff. Sets clear expectations and provides ongoing feedback to all staff members. Attends special events and school-sponsored activities and functions. Maintains clear and open communication with all stakeholder groups. Stays informed of advancements in the profession and implements changes accordingly. Together with central office staff oversees budgeting and building operations. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent. Qualifications Massachusetts Principal/Assistant Principal License (PK-8 or 5-12) Masters degree Middle school teaching experience School administrator experience (preferred) Commitment to educational equity diversity and inclusion Understanding of adolescent development and social-emotional needs Knowledge of curricular standards and contemporary instructional practices Experience with teacher supervision and evaluation Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders Effective oral and written communication skills Drive for continuous learning and improvement Competitive salary
