The Director Engineering Warehouse Operations and Logistics is a key role within the Global Workplace and Enterprise Services working to develop and provide site warehouse operations internal site and third-party logistical support as well as oversight and on-going development of site shipping processes. The candidate will build collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders as well as third party logistics providers developing a site wide logistical model and framework.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of technical and support staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Develop a site logistics framework and governance including implementation of a logistics model for both site and third-party operations across business units.

  • Collaborate with business units to implement efficiencies across the site to optimize warehouse operations shipping and logistics processes.

  • Oversee warehouse management processing compliance and on-going improvements.

  • Oversee 3PL setup performance management and optimization.

  • Identify implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.

  • Lead and coordinate budgeting and strategic planning for warehouse shipping and logistics operations.

  • Ensure compliance (Safety Health Environmental GxP DOT Labor HR etc.) for all applicable company protocols practices procedures and regulatory requirements. Ensure that all site related decisions and documents appropriately protect Company interests.

  • Manage development and performance of direct staff. Evaluates staffing requirements operational labor strategies and coordinates with external service providers to address operational and business needs in delivering innovative and cost-effective operational solutions. Encourages creative thinking in current and future planning with emphasis on employee participation teamwork and development.

  • Manage outsourced service providers under Governance/Partner management platforms to deliver services at specified service levels under specified budgets/savings targets.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical or global supply chain experience.

  • Management processes and KPI development.

  • Ability to develop a strategic plan that influences the collective organization to execution excellence for delivery on customer needs and perspectives.

  • In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles best practices and industry trends.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and utilize data to drive strategic decisions.

  • Ability to properly identify risks to issue resolution timelines scope or deliverables and escalate accordingly

  • Strong compliance mindset and knowledge of GxP quality management.

  • Experience with Collective Bargaining units and execution of a CBA.

  • Exhibit sound leadership qualities amongst competing priorities and agendas while leading developing and motivating a cross functional team of internal employees and external service providers.

  • Successfully navigate challenges and influence across the enterprise

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is

$173200.00 - $272600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills geographic location government requirements and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
