Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: Administrative/ Professional/ Technical Salary Range 12 ($81004 - $119006/yr based on experience).
Additional salary credit may be given for experience internal transfers and/or recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Licensed Colorado Master Electrician.
- Minimum of 3ï½5 years of supervisory experience in electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance policies codes and procedures.
- Valid Colorado drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within one year).
- Any equivalent combination of education experience and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities.

Summary/Objective
This working department manager position is responsible for leading and performing electrical maintenance operations across the District. The role supervises evaluates and disciplines electrical maintenance staff; oversees hiring and staffing decisions; and ensures safe compliant and efficient electrical systems in support of students staff and the community. The position implements predictive preventative and proactive maintenance programs manages departmental resources and budget and ensures compliance with all applicable codes policies and licensing requirements.
This position uses the Districts computerized work order system to plan sequence and schedule work. Hours may vary and the position is on-call 24 hours per day for emergency response or may delegate on-call duties within the department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leads and participates in electrical construction installation repair and maintenance activities at District sites.
- Oversees hiring training scheduling supervision and performance evaluation of electrical maintenance staff.
- Develops work schedules and monitors productivity workload distribution and resource utilization.
- Implements and oversees predictive preventative and proactive maintenance programs.
- Monitors and manages the electrical maintenance budget and recommends resource or staffing adjustments.
- Ensures compliance with all District policies safety standards and applicable electrical codes.
- Serves as the Districts licensed Master Electrician and maintains responsibility for the Districts Electrical Contractor license.
- Coordinates elevator and chairlift code compliance permits and inspections.
- Coordinates generator inspections testing and servicing.
- Reviews drafts and assists with specifications Requests for Bids/Proposals and vendor selection.
- Supervises and inspects work performed by contractors and vendors.
- Uses software systems to track work orders time records productivity and material usage.
- Inspects electrical work and equipment to ensure quality safety and compliance.
- Assists Risk Management with the development and delivery of safety training.
- Educates maintenance personnel on electrical safety procedures and best practices.
- Coordinates electrical projects with other Facilities and District departments.
- Responds to emergency situations on a 24-hour basis including after-hours call-outs.
- Operates District vehicles and equipment as required.
- Assists with snow removal and other Facilities operations as needed.
- Maintains professional positive working relationships with District staff students and community members.
- Attends department and District meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of electrical maintenance methods materials tools and safety practices.
- Advanced knowledge of control circuitry including low- and high-voltage motor control VFDs PID systems and PLCs.
- Experience with manual and automated lighting control systems.
- Proficient use of volt-ohm meters (VOM) and megohmmeters.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving planning and independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and effective communication.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build lead and sustain an effective team.
- Strong mathematical organizational and computer skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises electrical maintenance personnel including hiring training scheduling performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.
Work Environment/ Physical Demands
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work involves extended periods of sitting standing walking and exposure to distractions.
- Visual auditory and ambulatory acuity are required.
- Occasional team lifting of up to 100 pounds and individual lifting/moving of objects weighing 20ï½70 pounds may be required.
