Client is seeking a Cloud Architect to assist with the continued build out of its multi cloud environment. This position will support Client and partner agencies in the migration of systems build out of secure environments configuration of vendor cloud services. The candidate must coordinate with Client Security and DC-NET teams to support requests and changes for firewalls and network routing. The candidate will apply best practices for cloud architecture and design to provide scalable flexible and sustainable cloud deployments. This includes automated deployments through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies. Candidate must be able to work with vendors and independently to create architecture diagrams and complex multi cloud integrations with various DC systems. Architected designs must be monitorable and be cost effective solutions and deployments.

CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty.
2. Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/products.
3. Identifies best practices and standards for the use of the product.
4. Delivers support and design for industry specific technologies that require integration with systems or networks.
5. Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.
6. Functions as a niche technical SME.
7. Lead experience with technical expertise across large complex implementations for systems.

Technical Skills:

Deep expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud) including core services like compute storage networking databases and security.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.

Proven track record of cloud migrations and modernization projects.

Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.

Demonstratable work experience with Hybrid converged datacenters and clouds.

Design and implementation of cloud solutions.

Cost optimization Risk assessment and mitigation planning for cloud infrastructure.

Networking fundamentals (VPCs subnets load balancing DNS firewalls).

Security and compliance frameworks (Zero Trust encryption IAM compliance standards like FedRAMP for government).

Scripting and automation (Python PowerShell Bash).

Monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch Azure Monitor Prometheus Grafana).

CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).

Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform Ansible CloudFormation ARM templates).

Cloud platform certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect).

11-15 yrs. conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty.

11-15 yrs. preparing complex technical documentation.

Bachelors degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.

Compensation: $72.00 - $81.00 per hour
