Job Summary
About the Role:
This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2026. Resume review begins in February 2026.
Biogen Manufacturing Engineering at the RTP Pharma site supports two sterile filling lines and an Automated Visual Inspection Machine at the Parenteral Facility and a small-scale filling line Oligonucleotide Synthesis Manufacturing Area and an Oral Solid Dose Manufacturing Area in Building 35. Manufacturing Engineering helps with design installation modification troubleshooting and qualification of new and existing equipment. Manufacturing Engineering also provides technical support for Manufacturing and other Engineering Departments.
What Youll Do:
Detailed description of role including but not limited to:
- Protocol and report creation for validation of equipment
- Support continuous improvement projects
Example projects may include:
- Job shadowing during equipment troubleshooting
- Equipment commissioning and qualification
- Fault tree creation form vendor manual
Who You Are:
Include the knowledge skills and abilities you may be seeking.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office / SharePoint is a plus
- Ability to hit deadlines and understand processes from start to finish
- Knowledge of SolidWorks
- Great communication skills
To participate in the Biogen Internship or Co-op Program students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited community college college university or skills program/apprenticeship.
Education Requirements
Rising Junior or above & enrolled in an Engineering Degree Program:
- Mechanical
- Chemical
- Industrial
Additional Information
The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidates current academic level and degree candidacy inclusive of Associate Bachelors Masters JD MD PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
