Position Overview
The Maintenance Specialist ensures the proper maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Assists in developing consumers ability to maintain individual residents on basic cleaning and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute a formalized preventative maintenance schedule for the facility i.e. painting plastering plumbing changing locks changing lighting fixtures stripping and waxing floors installing shades etc.
- Submit requisitions for necessary maintenance/repair supplies to the Program Director on a weekly basis and control the inventory of supplies
- Complete the monthly physical plant and fire safety audit of the facility.
- Participate in moving clients in and out of the facility.
- Maintain vehicle maintenance/mileage record prior to and upon returning from trips.
The salary for this uninized role is :minimum is $17.10/HR and the maximum is 17.10/HR
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year experience as a repair-person.
- Valid NYS Drivers License.
- Minimum one year experience working with mentally ill individuals within a residential or scatter-site program.
- Air conditioner installation lock and cylinder changes smoke detector installation etc.
