Job Summary

Murkez Technologies is looking for a Finance Automation & AI Associate to support the growing volume of repetitive bookkeeping and finance work across our customer base. This is a hands-on role focused on understanding existing finance workflows and helping automate streamline and standardize them for better efficiency and scalability.

Analyze existing bookkeeping and finance workflows across different customers
Identify repetitive manual or error-prone processes and opportunities for automation
Design and implement practical automations scripts or AI-assisted workflows
Leverage AI tools (e.g. copilots LLMs OCR workflow automation tools) to improve efficiency
Help standardize finance processes so they can be reused across multiple clients
Collaborate with finance operations and product teams to understand requirements
Document processes automations and best practices clearly for future reuse
Continuously experiment learn and iterate on new tools and approaches

Requirements

What Were Looking For:

34 years of experience in finance accounting bookkeeping operations or a related role
Solid understanding of core finance and bookkeeping processes (AP AR reconciliations close reporting etc.)
Currently hands-on with AI automation or workflow optimization not just past exposure or adjacent experience
Practical experience with one or more of the following:
AI tools or copilots
Workflow automation platforms (e.g. Zapier Make Power Automate etc.)
Scripting or light coding (Python SQL VBA Apps Script or similar)
Process optimization or systems implementation
Comfortable working with data spreadsheets and finance systems
Comfortable working US hours / late evenings to support customer needs
Tech-forward adaptable and practical in problem-solving

Nice to Have

Experience supporting multiple clients or stakeholders
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks NetSuite Xero etc.)
Exposure to OCR document processing or AI-based data extraction
Interest in scaling internal tools and reusable solutions
