OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Director of Services the Sacred Care Support Worker Supervisor is responsible for the effective leadership management and supervision of Sacred Care Support Workers within the Sacred Care Program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality culturally grounded care and support to Sacred Care homes. The Supervisor provides program leadership supports staff development oversees program operations and maintains strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Leadership & Supervision
- Identify staffing needs andcollaborate with the Director of Services to recruit hire and onboard staff
- Provide ongoing supervision mentorship and guidance to Sacred Care Support Workers
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary processes as required
- Organize and lead staff meetings
- Manage staff attendance scheduling and authorizing leaves
- Develop and manage on-call procedures and schedules
Program Development & Management
- Develop implement and maintain program policies procedures and documentation
- Conduct research to identify effective program models and best practices
- Implement and monitor program evaluation measures
- Approve and manage program budgets and expenditures
- Prepare and submit program updates and reports
- Compile and analyze monthly statistics and contribute to the Annual Report
Training & Capacity Building
- Source approve and support training opportunities for staff
- Support the implementation and delivery of training program
- Develop and deliver presentations related to the Sacred Care Program as required
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Participate in meetings with Southeast Child and Family Services (SECFS)
- Maintain positive relationships with community members and stakeholders
- Represent the Sacred Care Program at community events and meetings
Other
- Other duties as required andassigned by the Director of Services
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in a related field is required; Bachelor of Social Work preferred
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services (CFS) sector and legislation
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisor and leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in program development and management
- Strong interpersonal organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or understanding of First Nations perspectives culture and philosophies
- Knowledge and/or fluency in Anishinaabemowin are considered an asset
- Satisfactory Child and Adult Abuse Registry checks Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Prior Contact Check are required
- Valid Drivers license and reliable vehicle are required; satisfactory driver abstract provided annually
