About the role
Provide real-time electrical engineering support to keep Hydro Tasmanias generation assets performing at their best. Youll plan and enable effective maintenance respond to operational needs and work closely with Production Maintenance and site Operations teams. This role offers statewide exposure handson site work and a unique opportunity to influence decisions that directly impact Tasmanias renewable energy supply.
Salary range $117986 $136778 plus super

Work as part of a tight knit team on a range of technical and challenging tasks. The team will work across all aspects of an issue from identification and troubleshooting to proposing and implementing a solution.

Key responsibilities
Provide sound engineering advice that balances asset condition safety and business requirements.
Respond to equipment breakdowns with timely faultfinding support and technical guidance.
Work across multiple sites to understand asset performance and provide handson engineering input.
Support planning and execution of maintenance activities alongside the Maintenance team.
Contribute to condition assessments using historical data inspections and investigations.
Engage with site-based teams to exchange insights and improve asset performance.

Skills & experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in hydropower rotating plant or maintenance environments.
Strong capability in electrical design specification analysis and problemsolving.
Proven experience with HV equipment and/or control systems.
Ability to manage engineering activities across the full asset lifecycle.
Confident communicator who can translate technical advice for diverse stakeholders.
Experience in onsite activities such as testing commissioning or operational support.
