Were looking for a Vision Scientist Intern to join the team based in Boulder CO!
What youll do:
Assist in bridging the gap between scientific rigor and the hands-on practical needs of a commercial product
Carry out experiments pertaining to AR experiences
Work with internal and external collaborators to gather user study data
Assess and interpret statistical data from experiments
Assist in drawing actionable insights toward display quality metrics product human factors and innovative IP opportunities
Prepare documents to communicate key results and insights to cross-functional product teams
Support the vision science teams ongoing research needs
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of the human visual system (examples of desired expertise: eye movements eye-tracking stereoscopic vision depth perception color vision visual attention image quality metrics such as angular resolution distortion and color aberration)
Knowledge of behavioral statistics
Expertise in designing and running experiments from beginning to end - from study design to data analysis and interpretation
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Masters or Ph.D. program (Ph.D. preferred) in a related field such as vision science perception psychology cognitive psychology psychophysics neuropsychology neuroscience
Must be able to start in office on in May or June of 2026 for 24-week internship
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience with experimental design and research leading studies from beginning to end
Experience with programming for VR/AR using applications like Lens Studio or Unity
Knowledge of visual health and clinical applications of vision science
Experience running studies on stereo displays or haploscopes
Experience with experiment development packages such as Psychtoolbox or PsychoPy
Experience with image processing software such as Matlab or Python
Experience with data analysis and statistical software such as JMP R Matlab or Python
Experience with displays and an optical lab environment
