Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our 38-bed (2810) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU) you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care. The multi-specialty aspect of this ICU is especially interesting for experienced ICU nurses who wish to pursue their career in critical care while developing new competencies and enriching their practice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit including assessing diagnosing planning intervening evaluating and educating patients
- Communicate with various health care team members patients and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- 2 years of RN experience required in a med/surg setting
- ICU experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required
- Nursing degree: Diploma ASN or BSN (preferred) Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Fluency in another language a plus
Compensation Range:
$39.02- $90.05This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
