This position is for an intern Software Engineer for the Commercial Systems Data Link Products team. The Data Link Products a crucial part of our operations consist of software/hardware onboard an aircraft to utilize digital communications between the air and ground to help reduce voice communications and provide real-time information on the operation of the aircraft. The selected candidate as a key member of our team must be a self-starter have excellent problem solving data analysis and critical thinking skills be highly motivated take initiative and be able to excel in a high-performance work team environment.

What You Will Do:

Design code test and provide ongoing support for embedded systems software to meet technical and customer requirements
Design and code based on low-level software requirements
Build test and deliver real-time embedded software to target environments in support of program and customer commitments
Assist with system-level testing working closely with cross-functional areas to coordinate desired solutions documenting problem reports and working on resolution activities
Participate in Design and Code Reviews with other team members to identify and eliminate problems early in the development process.

Learn about the aircrafts digital data link communication system.
Learn how to design implement and test new Digital data link communication applications.
Learn how to integrate and test real-time embedded software with hardware.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
