The BCA Systems and Electrical M&P Engineering team is seeking an Electrical Parts Materials and Process Engineer to join our team in the Puget Sound region supporting our Airplane Systems commodities. Our team has some of the leading experts in electrical components from around the company ranging from circuit breakers to connectors to wires. This role involves responsibility ensuring quality parts and processes for electronic printed wire boards electro-mechanical devices and other electrical components. We identify new technologies that will make safer more reliable this role the engineer is expected to interface with a variety of engineering and non-engineering Boeing teams external suppliers and government representatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides materials and process support to Boeing Commercial Airplane programs and systems design teams throughout the full life cycle of the airplane from design to production to fleet support. Activities include definition of electrical electronic and electromechanical components used across Boeing products.
  • Reviews electrical component materials and process specifications and other engineering documents used to control design certify and produce systems hardware.
  • Identifying impacts of non-conformances associated with electrical components and corrective/preventative actions for future avoidance.
  • Conducts engineering lab / failure analysis to help determine cause and corrective action of failed electrical components
  • Leads in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to future BCA products enabling a competitive advantage.
  • Leads or collaborates with multiple engineering teams Design Stress Quality Manufacturing and Suppliers to solve a variety of materials and process challenges throughout the full life cycle of the airplane.
  • Produces requirements specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools equipment materials parts and processes used to enhance the full life cycle of Boeing products.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in electrical engineering computer hardware engineering mechanical engineering materials science or equivalent
  • Experience working with schematics or wiring diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in engineering design
  • 3 years of experience in part specification analysis
  • Electrical component experience in PWB electromechanical devices or other electronics.
  • Project management experience working with projects at various stages and coordinating with multiple organizations
  • Experience working in lab environments

  • Summary pay range for Associate: $98600 $133400
  • Summary pay range for Mid- Level: $119850 $162150
