Your Role at St John of God Geelong Hospital
We are seeking suitably qualified Registered Nurses to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit in a permanent part-time capacity working up to 47.5 hours per fortnight.
You will provide high-quality patient care and support the coordination and supervision of junior staff and students. We are looking for a dynamic flexible nurse with strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent care.
About the Unit:
Inpatient rehabilitation for orthopaedic surgical medical oncology and cardiac patients
Night Duty shifts: 21:30 07:30 (9.5 hours plus break)
The Position
Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths.
Demonstrates knowledge of/and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability/responsibility for own actions.
Ensures Infection Management policies and procedures are available to all staff and adhered to and implemented
Assist in completion of incidents / hazards / injuries reports.
Participate in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose a OHS risk
Communicate effectively with all customers and patients using the appropriate channels utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication.
You will have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate clinical skills that are suitable for a rehabilitation environment.
To succeed you will highly developed interpersonal and communication skills ability to identify and solve problems with a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction.

The Benefits:
Salary: $81995 to $103482 per annum(pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation
Permanent part-time position up to 47.5 hours per fortnight on permanent night shift.
