TITLE: West FranklinMiddle SchoolKAY Club Sponsor
PAYMENT RATE:According to Negotiated Agreement
RESPONSIBLE TO:Building Administration
POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Middle School KAY Club Sponsor serves as the advisor to the KAY (Kansas Association for Youth) Club and is responsible for guiding mentoring and supporting student members in planning and carrying out service-learning projects and leadership activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize and supervise all KAY Club meetings and activities.
Guide student leaders and members in planning service projects school improvement initiatives and character-building activities.
Support students in developing leadership skills teamwork responsibility and effective communication.
Ensure that all KAY Club activities comply with district policies and procedures.
Work cooperatively with administration regarding activity approval budgeting and logistics.
Oversee fundraising efforts and monitor KAY Club accounts in accordance with district guidelines.
Coordinate membership recruitment and leadership selection/transition processes.
Supervise students at KAY-sponsored events and activities as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by building administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:This position may be filled by a certified teacher on a supplemental contract. Others may apply using a Rule 10 Application.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Salary and work year will be in accordance with the Negotiated Agreement.
EVALUATION:Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the U.S.D. # 287 Board of Educations policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
