The EEG Technologist performs electroencephalographic recordings on both outpatients and inpatients. Experience with evoked potentials is a plus but not necessary.

Job Description:

  • Attaches and connects electrodes between specified body areas and EEG machine. Performs prescribed testing.
  • Reviews patients history and educates patient about procedure. Monitors and documents patients condition and responds to and reports any adverse reactions.
  • Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
  • Maintains department policies and procedures objectives and process improvement plans.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Graduate of an accredited Electroencephalograhic or Electroneurodiagnostic Technician program preferred.
  • Registered as an Electroencephalographic Technician (REEGT) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) preferred. Board certified by the Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals (ASET) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
