Job Summary

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications forDietitiansto join us in aPermanent Full-Timeor Part-time capacity. Based at our Springfield campus these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening in the coming months. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a total of 250 public and private beds the Dietetics department will service the Mater Hospital Springfield and the existing Mater Private Hospital Springfield across a range of specialties including medical surgical ICU maternity NICU paediatrics and outpatients.

Salary range: $43.68 - $58.59 per hour plus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

As a Dietitian you will provide assessment diagnosis and management of patients whilst working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care across a range of clinical areas.

You will contribute to the ongoing development of clinical services participate in quality improvement activities and engage in continuing professional development to ensure care is aligned with best practice and Maters mission and values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver nutrition assessment intervention and evaluation in line with professional and ethical standards
  • Apply evidence-based practice principles and demonstrate sound clinical judgement
  • Managing an appropriate caseload using strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and organisational policy
  • Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated patient-focused care
  • Participating in supervision and clinical education of students
  • Contributing to research service evaluation continuous quality improvement and departmental professional development activities
  • Promoting the role and value of the dietetics service within the wider healthcare team

About you

Youre a motivated and professional Dietitian who demonstrates clinical excellence teamwork and a passion for improving patient outcomes. You value collaboration evidence-based practice and continuous learning. Reporting to the Dietitian Team Lead you will work with the wider Dietetics department and relevant Allied Health Assistants ensuring safe effective and evidence-based care.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
  • Hold current Blue Card or eligibility for a Blue Card
  • Two years experience in an acute hospital setting (desirable)
