Project Engineer Aviation
We are seeking a self-motivatedProject Engineerto support our aviation pursuits in the travel to project sites or meetings will be required (approximately 30% of the time). Relocation will be paid for qualified candidates. Remote work option for an initiative-taker who embraces autonomy. A bachelors degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years of aviation design experience is preferred.
Position Responsibilities
As Project Engineer the daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Performs civil design using knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer
Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer
Assistswith engineering duties on projects of various complexity
Assistswith collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions
Assistsin basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices
Constructs models toidentifyproject specifications and meet related needs by performing routing aspects of engineering assignments

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of aviation design experience with detailed knowledge of FAA standards
- Senior positions are available for candidates with 10 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in design programs is preferred (AutoCAD Civil 3D ArcGIS Microsoft Excel etc.)
- Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Willingness and ability to learn new job skills

Our firm has grown to over 400 employees since its inception in 2005 which includes over 100 Licensed Professionals (PE RLS LG & RLA) numerous Civil Engineering Graduates who are certified engineers-in-training Utility Coordination Managers fully equipped surveying crews led by a Licensed Registered Survey Manager a construction management and inspection division of more than 130 and numerous CADD Technicians and support personnel. ICE is led by an Executive Committee and Management Team who have acquired more than 175 years of transportation engineering experience collectively. These individuals take a results-driven approach to meeting the specific needs of our clients.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation with occasional standing and walking. The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials typically not exceeding 20 pounds. The office environment is indoors characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions. Employees must have the ability to visually discern and differentiate details and colors of objects and proficiency in recognizing sound tone and pitch. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods.
Expected Hours of Work
The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule. This is an onsite position reporting to the ICE office 5 days per week.
