Position Details
5 provider group: 3 surgeons/2 experienced APPs
Ambulatory practice less than 1 mile from hospital campus
Intensivist staffed ICU
Would care in clinic
Average patient per clinic day 15-20
3 Locations: UP Health-Bell UP Health Marquette UP Surgery Center
o DaVinci XI up to 4 days per month
Call/Trauma Call: 1:5
o Locum support to ensure life balance
o Split day/night 7a-5p and 5p-7a
o APP covers all inpatient rounding
Some OR assists
Office Practice:
8a-5p Mon-Thur. 8a-2p Fri.
Staffed with on-site manager nurses office clerks scheduler
Patients booked 15/30/60 minute increments
Common procedures: excision of skin lesions I&D of abscesses or seromas anoscopy & hemorrhoid banding
Preferred OR procedures: Open laparoscopic & robotic surgeries: hernia repairs including inguinal umbilical incisional ventral & hiatal appendectomy cholecystectomy colectomy colostomy & ileostomy creation/takedown breast biopsy mastectomy lymph node biopsies excision of subcutaneous & intramuscular tumors PED tube tracheostomy chest tube insertion burn & would treatment skin grafting amputation pilonidal cystectomy exploratory laparotomy partial gastrectomy hemorrhoidectomy & endoscopy.
