Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Memphis is seeking a leader for the position of Division Sales Department Manager level position reports directly to the General duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a division commercial strategy for the Memphis Engineered Bar Mill while working closely with the Engineered Bar Groups Market Sales Managers to develop and execute this strategy.
- Working closely with the Sales Service & Material Handling Manager to ensure that Nucor Memphis provides best-in-class customer experience
- Be 100% accountable to profitably maximizing mill utilization
- Analyzing data and situations thinking strategically negotiating effectively and managing multiple business development projects simultaneously.
- Working collaboratively within the team to motivate and inspire an entire operation as part of the Leadership Team at Nucor Steel Memphis.
This role is based in Memphis but will be customer-facing spending significant time in the field with DSMs Market Sales Managers and customers across all market segments
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of steel related commercial experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Steelmaking Commercial Sales or Marketing experience
2. Knowledge of the Engineered Bar business.
3. Four-year degree in Engineering Business or Marketing.
4. Willing to relocate within Nucor as future advancement opportunities arise.
