Job Summary
TheUndersea Systems Division (USD)at Leidos currently has an opening for an entry levelSimulationEngineerto work in our San Diego CA office.TheUSDoperatesat the leading edge of technology by designingdemonstrating and deploying solutions to solve complex remote sensing problems for our Department of Defense customers.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to system development and to gain experience for an individual with interest in maritime remote sensing physics sensors systemprototyping algorithm and software development statistics machine learning and artificial intelligence. Our focus is to develop capabilities and deployable prototypes and transition those to our Defense business segment.
Primary Responsibilities.
The candidate shall perform:
Design develop evaluatevalidate verify analyze multi-domain system of systems simulations.
Design build andmaintainefficient reusable and reliable codes and models
Collaborate with teams of engineers and developersparticipatingin regular code reviews
Perform integration testing as well as collaborating with other internal teams
Communicate with project customers or end users to fully understand plan and implement feedback and feature requests
Basic Qualifications.
US Citizenship isrequired. Ability to obtain a TS clearance required.
Bachelors Degree and0-1 years of prior relevant experience.MaypossessaMasters orDoctorate in a technical domain
Must have a degree in Physics Aerospace or a related field
Experience with system of systems modeling and simulation
Preferred Qualifications.
Working knowledge of MATLAB C/C Python
Knowledge of Scrum/Agile development framework.
Experience with implementing andmaintainingunit testing.
Proficiencywith Git or comparable version control system.
Strong math and numerical analysis background
Knowledgeable/backgroundin astrodynamics
Experience in GNC (Guidance Navigation and Control) algorithms and theory.
Knowledge of detection tracking and discrimination algorithms
