Job Summary

PPS is seeking an entry level CNC Mill Machinist to join our semiconductor industry operations in Chandler AZ! This is a full-time position with a highly competitive pay rate second-to-none benefits and a high ceiling for growth!

Responsibilities:

Plans machining by studying work orders blueprints materials specifications interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions
Sets-up mills and lathes
Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling grooving and cutting including turning facing knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

Must possess basic math skills for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
Basic knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments including calipers micrometers gauges indicators and scales.
Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerance and dimensions.
Be able to sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks tools attachments collets bushings cams gears stops and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads.
Be able to programs mills and lathes by entering instructions
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change delays or unexpected events.
Good work ethic and flexibility to work overtime and shift is a must.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines and stand for long period of time.
Must be able to contribute to continuous improvement techniques to improve output quality cost and delivery.
1 year experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Haas CNC Mill experience preferred
