Job Summary
If you are an Engineer who is passionate about renewable energy sustainability and being an instrumental part of the transition to clean energy Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! As a Senior Proposals Engineer - Hydro you will lead the creation of highly competitive and strategic proposals for North America renewable energy control systems with a primary focus in hydroelectric power. You will have accountability to architect solutions from both a technical and commercial perspective encompassing written proposals and accompanying cost estimates. This role will be supporting our Power and Water Solutions business.
This position can be located in our Blue Bell PA Cranberry Township PA Amherst WI or Novi MI office.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Prepare comprehensive accurate and timely proposals for control system projects including reviewing customer specifications and drawings.
- Develop bestvalue solutions that meet customer needs reduce risk and support project success.
- Present project costs risks and differentiators clearly and confidently to key decisionmakers.
- Review purchase orders to ensure alignment with the proposed scope of work.
- Partner with a global network of engineers and subjectmatter experts to ensure highquality proposal development.
- Apply foundational knowledge in engineering automation networking and business to deliver thoughtful innovative solutions.
You accomplish objectives despite ambiguity and complexity. You establish and maintain effective relationships to create a collaborative working environment. You design feedback loops into workflows to deliver continuous improvement.
- BS degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related STEM field
- Minimum 10 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree 8 years with a Masters degree or 6 years with a PhD or equivalent experience
- Experience with control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA)
- Experience with writing proposals and developing cost estimates
- Experience in the hydroelectric solar battery storage (BESS) and/or wind industries
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred
